Kultepe (Kanesh) is located on 22nd km of Kayseri - Sivas highway. This world wide famous Open Air Museum first atracted attention in 1881 and Karum, one of the most important division of Kultepe, was discovered in 1925.
Ancient monuments dating back to Assyrian, Lake Hittite, Helenistic, Roman, Persian and Tabal periods have been dug out.
